Information, Logistics & Rules
Introduction
This annual swim was held between 2012 and 2020 between Milnerton Lighthouse and Big Bay with support from the local lifeguards. Interest faded during Covid years when the fixed event date was phased out.
This route has been creating interest from swimmers looking for longer challenges and using as a step between their Robben Island crossing and planned double Robben Island crossing. We have decided to formally introduce this route as a mini event in the mould of ISLAND ESCAPE.
Event Format
Lighthouse Swim will be held in November, December and January each year and limited to 8 swimmers per event.
