Well done to Malcolm Sixteen years ago he was decl

Well done to Malcolm
Sixteen years ago he was declared disabled after a horrific motorbike accident.
With his pelvis held together with steel plates, he made the decision to fight back and started floating in a pool with the use of a crane to get his wheelchair in.
Today he completed his first Robben Island Crossing in 2h37
What an amazing story, what an incredible achievement and we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be part of your journey, we salute you

No words to describe Kim Prytz, breast stroking Hout Bay to Witsands. Water started at 10.5⁰ and now dropped to 9,6⁰ turning this 20km swim into an extreme challenge. Hats off to Kim for pushing through on her Re-Memberance swim.

A reminder today from @jocelynvanrensburg that if your dreams don’t scare you they’re not big enough

A childhood dream for Jocelyn which she declared to her parents in 1979 was to swim the English Channel

She only really got into open water swimming in 2019 but after making the decision last year that she would swim the English Channel in 2024, she put her head down and did some serious training

She became our first woman to complete the #big5challenge
Cape Point
Dassen Island
West Coast Angle
Double Preekstoel
False Bay Crossing

She set the record for the fastest woman completing the Double Preekstoel in a time of 5h38

Then went onto being the first woman to complete a Quadruple Robben Island Crossing in a time of 9h50

And completed her English Channel Crossing in a time of 11h30, fulfilling her childhood dream

As we celebrate our women this month, we salute you Jocelyn and may you continue to smash your goals while inspiring many of our swimmers
